There are always many opportunities to get involved at the Willard School! Look at the information about the various Enrichment, Family and School events and activities that are sponsored by the PTG, find something that interests you, and contact the appropriate committee chair or coordinator.
The following Events and Activities are currently seeking volunteers:
Event Specific Opportunities
| Science Fair |
Volunteers are needed before and during the Science Fair. Help a little or help a lot. Specific help is needed for:
- Parent Scientists: Adults, especially those with a science background, to visit projects at the beginning of the fair, discuss them with the individual child or team, and present a ribbon (all ribbons will be the same).
- Extra hands: A few more people to help set up tables on Friday night and fold them up on Sunday after the fair.
- Bakers: Parents or kids who can bring in home-made snacks for the refreshments table.
- Help on Saturday during set-up: Check kids in, assist as they lay out their displays.
- Help on the day: Sell refreshments, assist the Mad Science presenter, pitch in where needed.

| Willard Carnival |
The Carnival always needs volunteers! You will be receiving information from your room parents about manning a carnival booth. Cakes are needed for the Cake Walk - bake and/or decorate a cake with your child! And donations are needed for the Silent Auction and Raffle. |

| Lice Checks |
The Nurse Assistant Coordinator is looking for parents willing to help with Willard's regular head lice checks.
We check the entire school four times a year for head lice. If you've had a child with lice we'd LOVE to have you.
If you haven't, we will train you!!
Please help us keep lice out of our school! The next check will be scheduled for some time after April vacation week. |

| Geography Quest 2011 |
We are in need of a volunteer to take on the quest next year, as it will be the last year at Willard for the current coordinator. The current coordinator can stay on to assist in the transition. |

Communicates valuable information regarding Special Ed to PTG Board and parents.
Work is year-round as necessary. |
| Student Health (SCACSH/CCPI) Representative |
Communicates all issues relating to the school health curriculum and health studies to PTG. Member of and attends meetings of Superintendent’s Community Advisory Council on Student Health and Concord Carlisle Parent Initiative Committee. Makes report to PTG at General meetings.
Duties are year-round. |
