geo questGeography Quest

Welcome to the 2012 Concord Geography Quest. This year’s Migration Quest takes us on a trip around the world following the migration paths of different animals.

The Geography Quest is an annual PTG sponsored event designed to let families explore geography together while learning a bit about history and how to use reference tools. Remember, this is for FUN! It is not another assignment or a contest. It is intended for students of all ages. Some of the questions will be well above the Kindergarten level. A smiley face indicates the easier questions. Please use the following suggested goals for the number of questions to be answered by grade level:

Kindergarten – 1-5 questions
1st grade – 5-15 questions
2nd grade – 10-25 questions
3rd grade – 20-40 questions
4th grade – 30-55 questions
5th grade – 40-68 questions

While each child’s Quest will be scored this score is only for their own information and is not recorded anywhere or considered in any academic evaluation.

The Geography Quest was sent home in student backpacks on January 6, 2012. Electronic versions are available here:

Please return the Quest to school by Tuesday, February 8.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact geographyquest@willardptg.org. Have fun!
