The personal pages of the Willard Yearbook are just that - personal.
Your page should be about YOU. Include things that tell the reader about you, that you want to remember about yourself and your experiences at Willard, or that have special meaning to you.
Include anything you want on your page as long as it is appropriate content and FLAT. The final page will be a copy of your work. Items such as yarn, buttons, or rhinestones do not copy well; items such as glitter can damage the copy machine.
- Text - words!
You MUST include your FIRST and LAST name somewhere on the page; but you can also include other writing. You can print your name or thoughts on a computer or by hand using dark or deep-colored markers or crayons. We list several ideas of what you might want to write below. Look at the sample pages for more ideas.
- Photos
Most personal pages include one or more photos of the student. You can also include photos of friends, family members, or places.
- Drawings
Remember to use bright or dark colors that will copy well in black & white.
- Patterned paper
You can add pieces of patterned paper or a whole sheet to cover the page. Just remember that the final copy will be black & white; and make sure that the pattern does not overwhelm your photos and text.
- Stickers, rub-ons, memorabilia, images or text from computer print-outs, etc.
Just remember to only include things that are FLAT.
Here are some sample pages that were created by past Willard students (thank you to them all for sharing their work!). See which pages you like and use their ideas to inspire your own work. But remember to make the page a reflection of YOU.
Include on your page anything about who YOU are! Just remember to keep everything appropriate. You might want to include:
- Photos of YOU
Think about including photos of you at different ages. Maybe include a photo from each year at Willard (the school portrait or one you like better) so the reader can see how you've grown.
- Photos or drawings of good times with Willard friends or family
- Teachers
Who were your teachers at Willard? Include a list so that you will always remember.
- Willard memories
What will you remember about Willard? Write about it or show pictures or photos.
- Interests
What are your current interests? What sports do you play? What games or music do you like? Do you dance? Are you an artist? Writer? Play an instrument? What are your hobbies? Have any favorite books or movies?
- Sports teams
What teams are you on? Or which ones do you root for? List them, show photos, copy logos from the internet. What is your number on the team?
- Dreams
What are you looking forward to beyond Willard?
- Places
What are your favorite places in the World?
- Poems
Write one. Or include one that is special to you.
- Write a Letter
Write a thank you to Willard, your friends, or your teachers.
- Nicknames
- Pets
If you have having problems with ideas or with the layout of your page, please contact the yearbook committee at yearbook@willardptg.org - we will be glad to help you!
